ZeAero% Announces Commitment to further develop Green Hydrogen Aviation
Farnborough International Airshow, UK, 23rd July 2026 –Zero Emissions Aerospace (ZeAero%) has announced its commitment to advance hydrogen aviation development in the UK, through an expanded collaboration with NCC. The programme will focus on developing fuel storage technologies and advanced powertrain systems.
Meeting the Air Transport Action Group’s commitment to halve aviation emissions by 2050 is a major environmental challenge for the aerospace industry. Current emissions trends suggest the sector is unlikely to achieve this target without significant technological advances, particularly in the development of cleaner propulsion systems and lower-emission aircraft architectures.
To help address this challenge, NCC and ZeAero% have been working together to develop key technologies for liquid hydrogen-powered flight. Building on the collaboration, the partnership will focus on refining the required technical solutions, flight-testing relevant technologies and developing the industrial infrastructure needed to bring this to commercial reality.
