ZeAero% was founded by people who have had a lifelong passion for aviation, but people who also love nature and the world we live in. We want the freedom to fly whilst protecting the world around us for future generations.
We knew that taking our talents and know-how, and working with other passionate people and organisations, that our dream of practical everyday zero emissions flight can be made a reality.
We are Creators, Pilots, Designers, Builders and community focused.
Our founding team covers many decades of aerospace experience, in the design, manufacture, sales and in-service support of commercial airliners and aero-engines.
Developing leading zero emissions propulsion systems and aircraft is important, but so too is how we do it. We want to benefit our customers, partners and our community. As well as Engineers, Project Managers, Manufacturing Workers, Analysts and support staff, many of our people are part-time aviation enthusiasts and pilots, charity volunteers and active in our communities.
We are a team that works hard, but we like to enjoy ourselves while we do.

Our founding team has a depth of aerospace experience. Successfully delivering over £2billion of aerospace projects, our team knows how to navigate technical challenges and how to deliver.
We can count seven different aircraft types certified and many aero-engine developments for OEMs and Tier 1 manufacturers between us.

Dr Matthew Orchard
CEO & Founder
Matthew is a highly experienced aerospace engineer and executive, having been involved in the end-to-end design and certification of three major aircraft types. He has a strong delivery focus, delivering more than £2B of complex aerospace projects and managed teams of 1,000+ engineers.
Also an innovator, he has a significant patent portfolio and holds degrees in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering and business administration.
Dave Roberts
Project Management
Dave is a Chartered Association of Project Management (APM) professional with over 20 years’ experience in the air and defence sector. Known for a delivery-focused mindset, he thrives in complex, challenging environments and builds effective relationships with stakeholders at every level.
Matt Gutteridge
Operations
Matt has founded and scaled multiple successful enterprises in the engineering and construction industries across Scandinavia and the UK. Specialising in electrical engineering, he led the delivery of one of the UK's largest EV charging port rollouts and has managed complex multi-disciplinary building projects. Alongside his business endeavours Matt has gained a strong understanding of marketing and media, enabling him to scale enterprises quickly and effectively.

Matthew is an experienced aviation professional with over 17 years working for key industry stakeholders.
With significant experience in Aircraft Sales & Marketing and Airline Strategy & Operations, Matthew has played critical roles in successful high value aircraft sales and purchase campaigns. He has an in-depth experience of Airline Fleet & Network planning and working alongside operators to create efficiencies and growth opportunities.
